THE EGMONT SEAT.
[press association telegram.] MANAIA, February 5. Mr Bruce, a candidate for Egmont, addressed the electors last night. He declared himself strongly opposed to the present Government. He said he had been requested to stand by a large number of electors, but even now he was willing to retire in favor of a local candidate.
