Graham's paddock yesterday. The weather was all that could be desired. The early pare of the morning was cloudy, bat as the day wore on the sun abone brightly. The attendance was very good anoT equal to any previous year. The Burnham Band was in attendance and Sayed some excellent music. Mr H. F. ritton had charge of the publican's booth, and Mr H7< Edwards, of Christchurch the refreshment and luncheon booth.* All the officials worked hard throughout, especially the hon. Secretary, Mr H. McDonald, who executed his duties in an efficient manner. This is hia first term of office, and he promises to be of great service .to the Society. The day concluded with a ball in the Town Hall in the evening. The following are the results of the sports:— Quoit Match—Sheath 1,?, Welsh 2, G.
