Received April 17th, 10._) p.m. Sydney, April 17. The position of Bourke is - very critical, as there is a wall of 6ft of water all rotund the town. The embankment recently thrown up sprang a leak to-day, but by smart work it was stopped before serious damage was done. The railway line was out away to save the line and relieve the town and embankments.
