ENGLAND AND PORTUGAL.
THE EXPEDITION AGAINST MPONDO.
(emS. PRKSB ASSOCIATION.) ■ Received April 16th, noon. ; Loiroos, April 15. Replying to questions in the House of Commons, Sir James Ferguson states that the authorities at Lisbon had received no intimation of the proposed expedition against Mpondo in Shire , district, but that if it were ascertained that suoh attack was contemplated immediate orders would be issued directing the expedition to be abandoned.
The Delagoa Railway dispute is still unsettled.
Beceived April 16th, 9 p.m. London, April 15. A telegram from Delagoa Bay confirm 3 tho; rtetrs of a Portugese expedition, 1200 strong, being despatched to attack Mpondo, ShireY
