In the Ashburton Autumn nominations. Cathedral was omitted froth the Hurdles and County Hurdles, while Jenny Lynn should have been entered in the Flying instead of the District Welter.
Our Dunedin ? correspondent telegraphs as follows:—A Canterbury racehorse owner, who signed the* round-robin after the Exhibition Race Meeting, having.asked the Dunedin Jockey Club to inquire under what circumstances the wholesale scratching of horses for the Dunedin. Cup took place, and his request having been supported by the handicapper, who was attacked at the time, an inquiry will be held shortly. Four of the owners who asked for Mr Dowses dismissal as an alternative tor their horses running at the Forbury have since returned to the fold, and entered for events at the Dunedin race meetings.
