Sir, —Kindly allow us space to state that we wrote to the Chairman of the meeting of clothiers, drapers, and outfitters, held at Warner's Hotel—" That we were prepared to fall in with the views of the majority at that meeting," "consequently our name should have appeared in the advertisement agreeing to close our premises .on Friday afternoon. This explanation is necessary owing to our name having been omitted from among those signifying their willingness to close in yesterday's issue.—Yours, &c, N.Z. Tweed Company (Per J. D. Phillips).
