SENIOR CUP MATCHES.
ADDINGTON ELEVEN v LANCASTER
PARK FIFTEEN.
The Lancaster Park Fifteen, who had a decided advantage on the first day's play, maintained their lead and ultimately won the match by twelve wickets and 2 runs. The wicket was the same as the previous Saturday, and owing so the late fine weather was very fast and favorable to tall scoring. The game, however, assumed quite a different turn, for a slower game than while the suburban men were at the wickets has seldom ever been seen. The Addingtonians , second innings dosed for 106, while it took them three hoars to complete that number of runs. H. Ogier undoubtedly played the best innings for bis side, and his score of 32 was the mainstay of his dub. When he assumes the position of stonewalling he generally always makes runs, and on Saturday he played most cautiously, and deserves every credit for his patient innings. Atkinson made 21 in particularly good form, and was most unfortunate in being run out. Halley was beginning to be dangerous when Moss bowerecT his middle pin with "one out of the box." Caygill made 12 in very quick time, a grand hit to leg for 5 being induded In his score. He should have been run out on two occasions, but owing to the generosity on the part of the fieldsmen, he escaped that decision. McMurray also got into double figures, when he was bowled by a long hop from Eldridge, which kept very low. The Park men did not field as well as they ought to have done, though there was a marked improvement in this department. Willis bowled with a good bit of bad luck, but his average of four wickets for 36 is still very respectable. Moss was not so successful as usual, and his three wickets cost him 31 runs.
