[fbok oub spbcial correspondent.] WELLINGTON, July 10. The continuatioovpf the debate on the Representation Bllnfetid not come oft* to- ; day. This was not of much sur. prise to many people, for a tolerably well grounded impression had got about early: in the day that such, would be the caseIt was generally known that the Bill was daily gaining fresh adherents as its true purport and effect became more and more understood by members, and hence tot gain time was to secure a distinct advantage on behalf of the measure. I mentioned yesterday that the estimated votes in its favor had increased from thirtythree on Saturday to thirty-seven. To-night the supporters of the Bill are computed to nuciijber forty-one or forty-1 { two, and although this, of course, leaves fifty-two effective votes which might be recorded against it, equivalent to a potential adverse majority of eleven, there is good ground for anticipating that some of these will yet go in favor of the Bill. In these circumstances it is easily to lie understood that' a premature close vt the discussion would. not be desired by the advocates of the measure, and it is quite possible that, the debate may not be Brought to a termination before a late hour on Friday night. It is understood that, as the matter now stands, the Government wilHet the motion fop the second reading of tlje Bill go to adiviflion, when it is by no moans improbable that a bare majority in favor of the second read- ■ ing may be secured,'• ■ ' ■ J . ■ t Latbßv ' It is understood--that the following members will vote in ifavor of the second reading of the Representation Bill: —Mr Allen, Sir H.
