Received July 10th, 12.30 p.m. STRIKE OF NAILMAKERS. , London, July 9. Fifteen thousand nailmakers have struck for an increase of wages. THE DOVER SEAT. The Unionist candidate -will not be opposed for the Dover seat, rendered vacant by the death of Major Dickson (not Mr S. A. Dickson, as previously telegraphed). NIHILIST CONSPIRACIES. Hartmann, the Nihilist, has revealed the existence of a conspiracy organised to dynamite the Czar, and also a plot to bring about a revolution in France. LAWN TENNIS. William Renshaw won the lawn tennis championship of England. THE PRIMACY OF AUSTRALIA. Bishop Moorhouse, of Manchester, whose name was amongst those mentioned for the Primacy of Australia, has expressed himself in favor of the creation of a Bishop for the purpose. Received July 10th, 1.10 p.m. M.P.'b DISCHARGED. London, July 9. Mr Gill, M.P. for Louth South, and Mr F. R. Cox, M.P. for East Clare, have been discharged from custody. COLONIAL SECURITIES. In reply to their communication respecting the inclusion of colonial securities in the Trust Funds Investment Bill, Mr Goschen informed the Agents-General that he will consult the Judges during the 1 recess with the view of widening the list of investments permitted under Hartley's Act. ! He advised that provision be made so that in the event of default action could be taken in England against colonial Governments. Received . , PROPOSED FEDERATION CONFERENCE. London, July 10. The Council of the Federation League propose to urge the Marquis of Salisbury to invite colonial delegates to London to discuss the question of a closer union of the colonies with Great Britain. UNION BANK OF AUSTRALIA. The Union Bank of Australia declares a dividend of 14 per cent, and adds £29,000 to reserve fund. THE FRENCH ARMY BILL. Paris, July 10. The Army Bill has passed through all stages in the Chamber of Deputies. THE.WISSMANN EXPEDITION. Zanzibar, July 10. The troops under Captain Wissmann, who is in charge of the German operations on shore, attacked the rebels holding Pangani, and, after a brief struggle, captured the village.
