LODGE MEETINGS.

The half-yearly meeting of the Loyal] Oxford Lodge, 1.0.0. F., M.U., was held iSJ the Oddfellows' Hall, West Oxford, onS Saturday, June 29th, the N.G., Bro. Ai' A. Frampton, presiding. Nunweek; J. W., Bro. J. Blumskey; 5.8., P.C.R., Bro. Coombes; J. 8., Bro. T. Phillis; Medical Officer, Dr. Jennings; Auditors, P.C.R. Bro. Douglas and Bro. J. King; District Delegate, P.C.R. bro. Were. Votes of thanks were passed to the retiring officers, and it was decided to present P.C.R. Bro. R. Claridge with a P.C.R. certificate and neck ribbon,for the efficient manner he has conducted the business of the Court during his term of office. One new member was initiated during tin- evening. After transacting some unimportant business, the Court was closed in due form by the newlyelected C.U. Bro. W. Stanley, after which the C.R. and P.C.R. R. Claridge invited the brethren to refreshments provided in the back room of the Town Hall, when a pleasant evening was spent. At the half-yearly meeting of the Oak of Sydenham Lodge, A.0.D., on Wednesday, it was decided: to take no further part in the formation of a Friendly Societies' Dispensary at present. The Auditors read the balance-sheet and gave in the report, complimenting the Secretary, Bro. J. Hadfield, for the correct manner in which the books were kept. The balancesheet showed a profit for the half-year of £108 9s 4d. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The following officers were elected for ensuing terra:— J. Fisher, A.D. ; H. Rogers, V.A.; J. Hadfield, Secretary; W. Brew, P.A., Treasurer; J. Slater, M.S.; J. Hill, P.D.P., and J. Weir, P.A., A.D.B.'e; J. Wilson and W. Waddell, V.A-B/s: R. Hadfield, 1.G.; W. Compton, O.G. The officers were duly installed by Bro. Hobson, D.P., assisted by P.D.P. Hill and Stewart, P. A. It was decided to make a presentation to P.A. Bro. Manhire for having filled the A.D. and P.A. chairs for the eecoud time. Votes of thanks were passed to all retiring officers and the District President. The Lodge decided to pay a fraternal visit to the Lyttelton Lodge on Thursday, the 11th. The meeting was then dosed. The usual meeting of the Royal Lyttelton Lodge, Q.L.E..1LA.0.8., was held in Primo Schmidt's Hotel on Friday evening last. There was a large attendance of members. The quarterly balance-sheet was read and adopted, showing the Lodge to be in a most flourishing condition. Three candidates were duly initiated into the mysteries of the Order. The newlyelected officers for the ensuing quarter were duly installed into their respective offices as follows:—S.P., Primo Serra; C.S., Bro. Barnes; CM., Bro. Allan ; C.T., Bro. Lurch; C.C., Bro.
