CHRISTCHURCH v CHRIST'S COLLEGE.

The above Clubs met on Saturday afternoon for the first time this season, and played a match which was witnessed by a number of interested spectators, who did not encroach on the field of play. From the commencement it was seen that the visitors to the College ground were the stronger team, and as the play was decidedly one-sided a description of it is scarcely necessary. Christchurch became the attacking team without hesitation, and, though the College did their level best, its representatives could nob stave off the repeated attacks, which ended in eleven tries being obtained as under :— Wilkinson three, Ross two, Hawkes two, Labatt two. Greenwood one, and Mardon one. Peter placed three goals, thus leaving Christchurch the victors by seventeen points to nothing. The College played a good uphill game, the best being perhaps Murphy, Wigley, Winter and Ivens.
