LODGE MEETINGS.

The Blue Ribbon Hall was crowded last night, when an excellent entertainment, consisting of vocal music and recitations, waa given by the members and friends of Dauntless Lodge, No. 7, 1.0. G.T. The chair was occupied by JBro. F. C. Ormandr, ■C.T. At. the cose of the concert a vote of thanks to the ladies who had provided the refreshments, and to those who had assisted during the evening was carried by acclamation. The tea and public meeting under the auspices of L.O.l>.'s Nos. 5 ana 24 (temperance lodges) to be held on Friday next at the Free Methodist Church, St. Asaph street, promises to be a great success. About 500 tickets are already sold, and a committee of ladies are attending to the catering. Several meinb rs of the No Surrender female Lodge are working on the Committee, and Mr R. H. Ferguson is preparing a number of choice decorations for the occasion. The Hope of Christchurch Lodge of Good Templars held their weekly meeting on Thursday evening. After business was finished the lodge went into recreation, which took the form of a pound night. Members brought their various parcels, containing in some cases something tangible, but a few dubious parcels to create fun were put in. They were then put up to Dutch auction, the Secretary, Bro. h. Long, acting as auctioneer, which duties he carried out energetically, and with profit to the lodge fuuds, the proceeds of the sale being so devoted. The lodge was eventually closed in due form.
