[Bt Telegraph.] [from our correspondent.] EEEFTON, April 7. The following are the battery returns for the past week:—•■ Keep-it Dark—269oz of amalgam from 168 tons; Globe—227oz of amalgam from 175 tons. Big River Extended — 6400z of amalgam, 23Soz of retorted gold, from 120 tons. Golden Treasure — lOSoz of amalgam from 30 tons. Big Eiver Extended—The mine manager reports :—"Since my last I have extended the main level 12ft; the country is getting better, the hanging wall ia keeping our courae, and carrying gold-bearing leaders. I am of thei opinion the reef will make again in the level. Inthestopes going c th over the levelthe reef is looking well, in No. 1 stope the atone is a little broken, in No. 3 stope 3ft thick. I will require to drive the leading stope ahead and get a rise again on thfe stone before I can keep the battery going full time. I shall crush next week, one shift in the day time and keep the berdana going at night. Very likely I may etart full time the week after. From 120 tdas of stone crushed I got 673 OZ3. of amalgam, which gives 233 ozs. of retorted gold. The mine battery and tram are in good working order.
