The Turkish Government is seizing tbe railway from Scutari to J-mid, in Asia Minor. ACCIDENT TO A PRINCESS. St. Petersburg, January 7. Tho Princess Helena was driving in a sledge along Oharkoff Kailway when it was overtaken by a train. The driver was killed and the Princess knocked senseless. The train actually passed over her, but she escaped uninjured. THE MORIER CASE. Berlin, January 7. The Professor Geffeken inquiry confirmed the old reports that Sir R. Morier betrayed State secrets divulged by Emperor Frederick. Bismarck was unfriendly to Sir Robert Morier, and inspired the Cologne Gazette to justify the reply that the diary of Frederick was untrustworthy. Hence Sir R. Morier's appeal, and Count Herbert Bismarck's snub. The relations between the English and the German and Foreign Offices have been strained by the incident. Received January 9th, 9 p__ FLUE. London, January 8. Clouds, the residence of the Hon. Percy Wyndham, has been destroyed by fire, and the loss is estimated at £100,000. [The Hon. Percy Wyndham is brother of Lord Leconheld. His seat, Clouds, is situated in the neighborhood of Salisbury.. A FREETRADE DECLARATION. The Directors of the Manchester Chamber of Commerce have carried a resolution to the eff-ct that the resolution passed at the meeting on December 19th, declaring all imported goods similar to goods that can be produced and sold in the United Kingdom ought to pay their proportion of local and Imperial taxation, does not represent the voice of the Chamber, and the Chamber expresses its entire adherence to freetrade principles, THE AUSTRALIAN FLEET.
