RIFLE SHOOTING.
m — The Christ's College Rifles fired the fourth of their series of spoon matches yesterday morning. The weather was doll and showery, which accounts for the bad attendance. The ranges were—2ooyds, 300 yds, and 400 yds; five shots at each; Wimbledon targets. The following were the total scores:—Private R. Blakiston (8 points handicap), 63; Lance-Corporal Colclongh (10 points), 51; Lance-Corporal Leversedge (10 points), 51; Private C. Blakiston (scratch), 45; Sergeant Wright (7 points), 44; Corporal Buchanan (10 points), 41; Private Cox (5 points), 36. The fifth spoon match in connection with the Christchurch Rifles was fired yesterday morning in rather inclement weather. Eleven competed, and Lance-Corporal Dennis won the spoon with a score of 72 points. The conditions were, seven shots at 300 yds, 400 yds, and 600 yds, Wimbledon scoring and targets. The following are the scores above 60:— Lance-Corporal Dennis (10 points handicap), 72: Private Foster <5 points), 68; Sergeant Sandford (scratch), 67; Private Lake (15 points) 62. The following are the teams in the match College Rifles v City Guards tomorrow : — College Rifles — Color-Ser-geant Smith, Sergeant Wright, Corporal Leversedge, Privates C. Blakiston, R.
