- m ■ The adjonrned meeting of this Association was held on Saturday night. There was a large attendance of farmers present, and Mr M. Robertson, Chairman of the Provisional Directors, presided. The Chaxr_ak explained the action of himself and Mr D. Gorrie, re floating the Company. The legal matters were being attended to by MrHolmes, the Company s solicitor; also estimates of plant required for the factory, also the sort of building required. He had written to several factories for further information on several matters, but no replies had yet been reA letter was received from Tai Tapu factory, asking to be furnished with diagrams of utensils used in factories, andstating that their Chairman would be most happy to give all the information he could on his return from his visit to factories in Otago and Southland. An application for the post of Manager from Mr G. S. Baldwin was received and held over. A building plan, supplied by Mr Carmichael, of Rangiora, was inspected, and after consideration was considered suitable by those present. rhe Chairman said he felt great pleasure in thinking that his work and that of his co-Directors would soon be over. He hoped that at next meeting permanent Directors would be appointed, and that the factory would soon be in full working. He might tell them that the Directors had inspected the site selected during the' week, and it was now being surveyed by Mr Pemberton. Though he had been more connected with the initiation of the factory than he would be with the work-' Ing of it, he would always feel a deep in-' terest in its welfare.
