{PBSSS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.] DtTNEDIN, August 80. At the Harbor Board meeting it was stated that only £900 of the loan remained for the construction of the mole at the Heads, which would take from £4,000 to £5000 to finish. The matter was referred to the Works Committee. In carrying out retrenchment, it was decided to give notice to the Engineer that his engagement will terminate at the end of three months. The danger of an accident through traffic being carried on whilst the wharf was crowded with people seeing steamers going away was referred to, and a suggestion made by the Secretary that it might be advisable to make a charge to people going on the wharf as one of the means by Which it might be averted. The matter was referred to a Committee. .
