THE THIBETAN WAR.
.*. — THE THREATENED ATTACK ON THE BRITISH. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.! Received August 31st, 1.10 a.m. Calcutta, August 28. Information has been received here that the threatened attack by the Thibetans on the British position at Gnatong has been deferred for a time, but it is feared that when it takes place the overwhelming number of the enemy will make a lengthened defence necessary, and the British force will be in an extremely difficult position.
