SCHOOL COMMITTEES.
EAST OXFORD.
YALDHURST.
The Committee met on Thursday evening. Present — Messrs R. H. Parish (Chairman), Aldridge and Agassiz. The master's report of the work and attendance at the school was then read, as well as some correspondence from the Board of Education. The Committee gave their votes in favor of the election of Mr C. P. Hulbert to the vacant seat on the Board. Accounts to the amount of £4 10s 8d were passed for payment, and there being no further business to bring before the Committee, the proceedings were brought to a conclusion with a vote of thanks to the Chairman.
The Committee of this school held their usual monthly meeting on November 4th. Present—All the members. In regard to the vacancy on the Board of Education, the Committee voted in favor of Mr E. G. Wright. The arrangements for an entertainment in aid of the children's prize fund were left in the hands of the Chairman. From the Master's report it appeared the attendance for the month was fairly good, but still below what It really should be. After some other business of a routine nature" the Board adjourned.
