SHIPPING AND MAILS.
Received November 7th, 2 a.m. Sydney, November 6. Arrived—Wairarapa, from Auckland, this afternoon.
London, November 6,
The Australian mails ex Orient Company's Orizaba, dated Melbourne, September 30th, were delivered yesterday via Naples.
The P. and O. Company's new steamer Britannia sailed to-day for Australian ports. She takes 340 saloon passengers, first and second class. Neither tbe Britannia nor her sister ships' will be employed in carrying steerage passengers or emigrants. In accordance with an announcement made by. the Company, these vessels are intended for the conveyance of saloon passengers. Melbourne, November 5. The P. and O. Company's Parramatta arrived here this evening.
