! The following is the Corn Exchange report for Out- week ending Fuday, 18th I February 4— The weather has been all that could be desired for >arve*t work, and opezanons are now well advanced. Threshing machines are at their busiest, and we may Bhortly * xpect large quantites to come forward. Many farmers are taking advantage of the favourable storage ratee, and intend holding for better prices. Generally, the grain ie in excellent condition for shipping, although a go~d many eamplt s are thin and pinched. Prime wheats being taken up at from 3s 21 to 3; 3d, local millers being most eager to operate; elightJy shrivelled, 2s .01 ti Sβ; cbicken wheat (whole): is still saleable in limited quanuties at 23 Ddj broken wheat, as 51 to Vβ 7d; oate, milling-, 2?2i; short feed, 2s to 2e Id; Danish and Tartan, la 10d to 2s, with a goodßhippisg enquiry ; barley, malting, has a good demand as 3a 31 to 3i 6d, but many parcrle are thic, and others have been spoilt by being threshed too cl *c i bine peas are wanted- aad good samples are worth Sβ 6d to 3. 9i. No beans are yet in the market. Bye-grass has a strong demand for immediate orders, up to 4s 3d can be obtained for farmers' parcels wed dressed; machine dressed, 4* 91 to si, with little 4 ffericg; c iclsf oot is slow in coming to hands growers ask 4Jd but buyers do not seem inclined to go to that figure, unless to complete order*.
