Information hae been received in town that the Waihora, bound from Hobart to Melbourne, struck near Eddyetone Point at 2.15 p.m. yesterday, and was beached at Swan Island. The point is oa the eastern coast cf Tasmania, and the island is a few miles above it, in Base* Strait, near Cape Portland. No particulars are to hand. Latib.

The passengers and crew of the Waihora were all saved. The former were taken on to Launceaton.

DUNEDIN, February 18.
