TEMPERANCE.
Mr Burnett, the Temperance Beformer, who for many years has been work—gin the Australasian colonies, aad ia now systematically missioning New Zealand, will commence the Christohurch part of his work this evening. There is to be a demonstration in Cathedral square at seven o'clock, after which there will be a torchUght procession, headed by the Addington Workshops Brass Band. The order of procession is given in another column, and all Temperance people are invited to join. At eight o'clock Mr Burnett will deliver one of his thrilling and popular lectures in the Theatre Boyal. Every person is invited. His Worship the Mayor will preside.
