FLAXTON SCHOOL.

TO THB EDITOR OF THE FBSSS. Stb,—l am surprised to find that the Committee have decided to let the schoolhouse as a place where entertainments can be held and as a ballroom. Our school building was let for these purposes throughout the last twelve months, and by so doing damage had been done to plants on the school grounds and to the school building. The school furniture is ransacked about on every such occasion by throwing it out into the yard all the night, in whatever sort of weather it may be— rain, frost, or both. I maintain that the state are not fit sometimes for the children to sit on in the morning when they enter the schoolroom. I hope that the electors of the district will look into this affair, and put a stop to the using of our beautiful school building for such purposes. It would stop any further damage being done, and be more to the comfort of our children. I, as an elector, greatly disapprove of the decision of our School Committee. v Toure, &c, HOUSEHOLDKB.
