The Manager of the National Mortgage Agency Company of New Zealand reports of the local markets as followe:—Shipping wheat has a slightly .improved tendency at 33 7d; malting barley is depressed at 43 to 43 9-1 New Zealand feeding oats show no material change, and are, if anything, weaker, quotations 2s 9d to 33 3d; milling sorts are steady, but not in active demand at 3s 8d to 8s 6d; New Zealand oats, under bond, continue alow of sale at 2s 6d to 2s 9&: The market for Kauri timber is steady, but not active j quotations are unchanged. Arrived, thia afternoon—Tarawera, from the Bluff. • Beodred Febnuwy 10th, 8 p.m. SYDNEY, February 10. , Arrived this afternoon—Bingarooma from Auckland. Sailed this afternoon—Hauroto for Wellington. A verandah in George street fell on to the footpath to-day. Several persons were underneath at the time.
