Further cases of the doubtful disease are now prevalent, and continue to be reported from different points. Beceived July 24th, 0.42 a.m. The following scratchings for the Melbourne Cup have been posted this evening: —Illusion and Stockwell. Both are dead. > One death occurred to-day from smallpox at Fitzroy, in the north-east suburbs of this city.
