CRICKET.
The following are the fixtures, with the names of players, for the coming week :— On Saturday next and the following Saturday a trial match will be played at Lancaster Park in order to give the probable- eleven to represent the province against Otago some match practice. The match will be twelve against eighteen. Players—The twelve: Messrs D. Ashby, Chapman, W. V. Millton, W. Cotterill, A. M. Ollivier, W. Frith, F. Wilding, E. Barnes, J. Fowke, G. Watson, W. Reeves, H. Edser. Eighteen: Messrs Hartland (captain), T. D. Harman, Buchanan, G. Turner, Pocock, Wheatley, Ogier, Lusk, Fuller, E. Cotterill, Atack, H. Loughnan, Hilton, Strange, Washer, Philpot, Ross, Matthias, E. C. J. Stevens, D. Thmlop, Cross, Longden, C. Taylor. The eleven to play against Otago will probably be chosen from the twelve, but the selection is not final. Before play on Saturday next the team will elect a captain for the interprovincial match. Southern C.C. v St. Albans Third Eleven in the North Park, on Saturday, Messrs J. Ballantyne (captain), W. Napier, F. Taylor, R. Prebble, W. Harrison, W. Osborne, C. Laverty, J. Hanham, W. Lawrence, J. Jack, and J. Taylor; emergencies, F. Andy, A. Prebble, T. Tompson. Lancaster Park Reserve v the Locomotive Department, at Lancaster Park on Saturday—Messrs Beare, Brown, Fisher, I>r. Hacon, HassaL Montgomery, Nelson, O'Donnell, Robison, Smith, and Wicks. Sandridge C.C. v Lancaster Park second eleven juniors on Saturday next, play to commence at 2 p.m. ,sharp>:—Messrs L. Trask, G.
