RacingCrabproved abetter day's sport than was anticipated, the fields being fairly good, and several finishes exciting. The -weather was splendid, and the course was in capital order. The attendance was only moderate, partly owing to the high admission charges and partly to the difficulty of reaching the course. There was no betting worth mention, but the totalisators did good business, that outside taking most money, altogether about £1109, the best dividend being paid over the Hack Race, the backers of the I winner getting £9 for £1 invested.
