AUCTIONEER'S REPORT.

MSSSBS ACLAND, CAMPBELL AND Co. report on the live stock market for the week ending Friday, December 3rd, as follows: —On Wednes'iay, at the Adding ton yards, 6014 sheep were penned, lhe sale for fat sheep was not a livejjr one, the trade apparently not being anxious to purchase. A good many, lines were passed* bat mo&t of them' were eventually placed , privately. The store 'jsfcee?, consisting principally of ewes and lambs, seed readily aV&dod prices. We quote best eresshrede from 21a to 12s 6d ; medium, 93 to 10a ; .Ujht- weights, Bs. Crosßbxeds, in the wool, sold up to 15s ; afedrn merino -wethers, 6s 6d to 7b 6d; mermo wetbenj, in the wool, 11b SS; 2-tpotti store crossbreds, up to 7s Sd; merißoewes, with large percentage of lambs, 11s ; store merine ewes, 3s lOd. There was a large supply of lambs, nearly all selling freely at from 5a 6d to 93. Cattle— 432 were yarded. The market for fat cattle was rather better than last week, good quality light cattle fetching fully 203 per 1001D3, but in heavier cattle there was no advance. The entry of store cattle wat not large, but there were several lines of very nice two to three years bullocks, all of them selling readily from .£5 12s 6d to £6, some very good conditioned bollocks making up to £6 Iβ 6d; younger cattle also sold freely at late quotations. On Tuesday we held a sale at Southbridge on account Messrs Andrews, Eerdman, Struan Bobertson and others. There waa a good attendance, and all lots were cleared at very satisfactory prices. Yesterday we held & special sale at onr yards, WaOrari, there being an entry of over 300 head of store cattle, all of which were disposed ef at excellent prices. We have during the week placed several lines of store crossbreds and merino wethers at prices equal to market rates.
