Sib, —May I aek you to bo co good as to insert this in your paper, bo that your numerous subscribers may take note of tho following statement: —Mr Charles Clarke has been liberal enough to offer to devote the proceeds of next Monday's exhibition of pictures towards the funds for meeting the expenses of building the Cathedral. lam sure that, on this fact being generally known, numbers will respond to Mr Clarke's invitation, and flock to have another look at his beautiful collection of pictures. Thn gratification afforded of looking upon superior works of art will thus at the same time be enhanced by the pleasure of contributing towarde the erection of a fine building such as tho Cathedral.—Yours, &c, 0.
