It is believed that there is a possibility of Sir Cunliffe Owen, Mr Labi-lire, barrister, and Mr Frederick Young, of the Colonial Institute, being authorised in a few months to invite Governors and heads of colonial Governments to assemble in Melbourne, with a view of forming the basis of a uniform tariff and laying the foundation of an Australasian confederation.

It ia thought probable that the division on the Reform Bill will take place on Thursday next.

Mr Williams, Member for Mandurang, who introduced the Bill..for Payment of Members in the Assembly, has consented to limit the period of the operation of the measure, and Government will facilitate its passage through Parliament. Flour is quoted at £10 to £10 5s for town brands, and £9 to £9 10s for country. Freights from Adelaide to London are at 40s to 42s 6d, and from the outports to Loadon 455.
