Mails dose at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under :— FBIDAY, JUNE 11.
For Wanganui and Westport, per St. Kilda, at 12.30 p.m.; late fee letters, 12.45 p.m.; guard's van, 1.25 p.m. train. For Mauritius, per Jasper (for specially addressed correspondence only) at 3.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.25 p.m.; guard's van, 3.55 p.m. train. SATUBDAY, JUNE 12. For Northern ports, per Wanaka. TUESDAY, JUNE 15. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Tararua. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch on June 19, and will be due in London on Augusts. ~> The next mail for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (f er specially addressed correspondence only), wUI be closed at Christchurch on July let, and will be due in London on August 21st. The Post Offices at Christchurch and Lytteltoa will be open every Saturday night, from half-past six until a quarter to eight o'clock, for the purpose of receiving Savings' Bank deposits only.
