SEFTON.
A meeting for the election of church offioers for Sefton and Saltwater Creek was held at Mr Vaughan's house on Thursday. Mr Moore attended as treasurer for the district, to bring -rarioua matters of finance before tiie meeting. It was reeolred that all promised subscriptions be called in by the Ist of May, and that the church officers use their utmost endeavors to obtain fresh promises. The Ber. S. Q-. Gould explained that the reason for electing separate church officers for that portion of the district was that there were so many purely local church matters which could not be dealt with except by local men, especially as a church, was beieg built. It wag notified that, in future, there would be a service erery Sunday in the Town HalL On the first two Sundays in the month in the evening, on the last two in the morning. The following were then elected as church officers for the ensnisg twelve months:— Messrs Yaughan, Pemberton, Thompson, Bruerfe, Mathers, Hopkins. Messrs Yaughan and Thompson were appointed delegates to attend all general meetings. It was further resolved to hold a bazaar towards the building fund of the church, and that all church officers and others use the utmost endeavors to obtain donations of useful and fancy articles for- that purpoie; the bazaar to be held about the time that the church is completed. , ,
