AUCTIONEER'S REPORT.

Messrs. B. WrLKisr akd Co. reports on their wool, skin, and tallow sale for the week ending 16th January as follows.— "Wool.—Since our public sale on 7th instant we have disposed of 40 of the unsold bales at owners' reserves. Sheepskins.—At our weekly sale yesterday we catalogued 2237 skins. There was only a moderate attendance of buyers, and very little competition was exhibited in their biddings. We have therefore to report a decline upon last week's prices as follows :—Crossbred, large, foll-woolled, 3s Sd to 4s 3d each; do, medium, half-woolled, 3s Is to 3s 6d each; do, small and inferior, 2s 5d to 3s Id each, merino, large, foll-woolled, 3a 4d to 4s 2d each; do, medium, half-woolled, 2s 9d to 3s 4d each; do small and inferior. Is 4d to 2s 95. each; lambskins' Is 2d, Is 3d, and Is 4d each; pelts, 2d to 9d each. Tallow.—A small quantity of butchers' rough fat was offered and sold at the following prices:— Best clean, well saved, 2}d to 2jd per lb; second quality, lfd to 2Jd per lb; inferior and heated, l|d to l|d. Hides.—There was a fair attendance'of the trade, and all lots were sold. Salted, at 3Jd per lb; damaged, 2£d per lb; calfskins, 4d per lb; cut and damaged, half price.
