CHBieTOHTTBOH T. DTTKBDIH. This match took place yesterday on the bowling green of the Christchurch Club, in Worceetor etreefc, between eucteen playere of Chrietchurch and sixteen from Dunedin.

At the tori—motion of the match an adjournment was made to the marquee, when the visitors wero entertained at a handsome champagne collation by the local team. The president of the Christchurch Club, Mr Wynn Williams, occupied the chair, being facrd by Mr Peacock.

After the usual loyal toasts had been drunk the Cliairman proposed the "Dunedin team," coupled with the name of Mr Oallender, the captain of the visiting team. In proposing the toast he hoped that the lefson the local olub hod that day received from their visitors would so improve their play that when thoy visited Dunedin thoy would be able to return the compliment, and give them aa good a beating as they had received., They were muoh indebted to thoir Dunedin friends for having accepted thoir invitation to a friendly match.

Mr Oallender, in replying to the teaafc, siid that he hod, on behalf of hi* team, to thank them most heartily for their horoftablo reception.
