Mary Brant, sworn, said—l am Henry Brant's wife; last March, about the 20th, I asked the prisoner to draw my husband's pay; he did not bring it to mc, and 1 went to him on the Monday, and he gave mc £2, and promised to give mc the other in the evening; I have not received the balance up to this time.
