CHRISTCHURCH. SATUBDAY, APBIL 12. [Before C. C. Bowen, Esq, R.M.] Illegally on Pbemises—James Smith was charged with being illegally on premises attached to the White Hart Hotel on Friday last. The prisoner was given into the custody of Constable Haddrell by David Thow, who said the accused was drunk, and refused to leave the premises when desired to do so. A fine of 20s was imposed. Dbunk and Disobdebly.—James Anderson, chaiged with being drunk and cieating a disturbance opposite the Criterion Hotel, in Gloucester street, on Thursday last, was, on the evidence of Constable Haddrell, fined 20s. Wife Desebtion—Epiah Maki, a Maori, was brought up on warrant charged with deserting his wife and children. Constable Barlow proved the arrest of the prisoner, who was remanded to Akaroa, from whence the warrant had been issued.
