MAGISTRATES' COURTS
CHRISTGHURCH. Saturday, Novembeb 11. [Before C. C. Bowen, Esq., R.M.] Drunk and Disorderly.—Mary Cunningham' and Hugh O'Neil, were respectively fined 40s, and in default ninety-six hours imprisonment, and 20s, and in default fortyeight hours imprisonment. John Brady, who failed to answer to his bail on Thursday last, and who also neglected to answer to a summons requiring him to appear to-day (Saturday), to show cause why his recognisances should not be estreated, was brought up after the rising of the Court to remand him till Monday next for evidence. DBUJJKENNES3 "WHILST IN CHARGE OF A Horse and Cab.—James Hunter was fined 10s. Lunacy.—ln the case of Thomas Swain, who was remanded to the hospital on Monday last, to appear to-day, a medical certificate to the effect that the defendant was not in a fit state to appear before the Court, was handed in, and his Worship further remanded him till the 16th inst.
