A little attention was given to businees this morning, but nothing of any moment transpired in the markets, and the day, as a partial holiday, has been much on a par with the preceding two or three days. Produce is, in consequence of the unsettled weather, reaching town Ices freely, and a better enquiry for oats is experienced ; still very little can be reported as done, and we wait for the opening month to bring in a better trade. —** Otago Daily Times," May 1.
