RECEPTION OF THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH.
,'■ -i, TO 3HH BDIXOS OF TEtB PBEBB. SIR,— 'Acorrespondent to you? journal the other day made a most sensible suggestion, TJ8.,~ that hie Boyal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh should bo invited to take a trip to the north of Canterbury. A great argument in ite favour would be that he would see more really worth seeing in, a da 7 or e0 fc * ,an beiog cooped up hi Chrietchurch. The pleasantness of the drive over our agricultural eeoafiy, and the fine scenery here, would wj»f the Rouble amply. Trusting such an amagemenfc, and promising so far as I am concerned, while we will no doubt all do our test; to welcome him, may be seen to be feasible. Yours, &c., BUBHMAK. Oxford, February 15.
