The Governor met with a poor reception at the Wairarapa to-day. Francisco, the; black drummer of Foley's late troupe,_ has died of small pox at Wanganui., . The "ship St. Vincent, Capt. Barron, left Wellington in ballast,; on Saturday afternoon, to load wool at Canterbury. She was off Cape Campbell on Sunday, at twelve o'clock, was drifted by a southerly gale into Palliser Bay by four o'clock, and struck on a point at Turakarai at half-past ten. It was thick weather; and dark at the time. The chief officer and sailmaker were washed ashore alive, but the captain and nineteen of the crew, principally shipped at Wellington, and Mr M'Kay, a passenger, were all drowned..; The chief mate reached town this afternoon. The ship is a total wreck. All the masts went upon Jier first striking. Mr M'Kay's and a few other bodies have been washed up.
