OAMARU.
The " Times," of the 3rd instant, says :— Owing to the unfavourable nature of the weather during the past week bueiness has exhibited but little activity. The same cause has. somewhat interfered with shearing operations ; but the fine weather which appears now to have set in will doubtless produce renewed activity. About 200 bales of wool of this year's clip have already been received.
