POST OFFICE SAVINGS BANKS.
The following are the regulations for the Savings Banks established at Christchurch, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akaroa, and Waimate: — 1. Interest at the rate of 5 per cent, per annum is given on sums leas tlmn £200 ; at the rule of 4 per cent, per annum on sums over £200; an I in the same proportion, for any shorter time on every compl-te £1 deposit, provided that no interest be allowed on more than £500 2. l>epo*i*ors in the Post-office SavingBulks have directed Government recurity lor tiie prompt repayment of their money. 3.
