,; Wjilaon and Alport held their annual sale by auction at the station of Mr J. Boberts, the Spripgs, ou Tuesday last. The attendance of buyers, was large, and fair prices were ob- j tamed. Eight good dairy cows, in profit and i springing, brought £9 lis, £1110s, £12 10s, \ £13, and £13 10s. The cows, although some- j what out of condition, were of good clasp, and prices were in favour of buyers. Eight J two and three-year-old heifers, Regicide stock, * Bold at £10 ss, £10 10s, £10 15s, £13 ss, and ( £13 10s. The, prices in this case were fair, as it was considered the heifers had commenced < breeding too early. One two -and a-half year ( old bull, by Mr Gould's prize bull, from' a very handsome Durham cow, shown during ( the sale, brought £22. Thirteen store steers, i two and three years old, one at £1110 a, four eaoh at £10 10s, £9 15s, and £8 ss. Fourteen 1 yearling heifers and steers sold—four each at \ £5 10s and £4 ss, six at £4. Three superior draught, xqares and geldings brought res- ' pectively £38, £40, and £44. Between twenty i and thirty head of cattle and horses placed in the sale by neighbours realized satisfactory ' rates. < At the Carlton yards, yesterday, from sixty to seventy head of cattle and horses were yarded, and a large company of buyers were brought together. Wilson* and Alport sold *as follows :—Three-year-old store steers, £12 10s ; two-year-old do, £8 108 and £8 15s j cow, superior class, £14} heifers, £7 15s and £8 15s ; young cow and calf, £13 5a.; yearling steers, £2 ' 12s 6d; yearling heifers, £3 7s 6d and £4. At the Carlton yards, yesterday, there was an average attendance. About sixty head of cattle were yarded.' Messrs. Matson and Co. offered thirty-one head, and sold—store cows, from £7 10a to £8 $ springing heifers, at from £5 10s to £11 5s ; calves, £3 2s 6d ; two-year-old steers, £8 to £8 10s Two hacks brought £10 and £12 each. Pigs—Porkers, 6s to 10s each. . :
