Entrance fee —Members Association, 2s 6d ; non-membeßs, 2s 6d. H. P. S., 20. FBIZES : Ist prize—One-half of tho money subscribed, and n cup. 2nd prize—One-third of tho money subscribed, and a cup. 3rd prize—One-eixth of tho money subscribed, and a cup. IX. BECOND SEBIES. Same as No. VIII, except the range 600 yards. Position, any. CONSOLATION STAKES. Open to all competitors who entered for tho above matches, but who have not taken a prize. Distance —500 yards. The winners of tho prize cups may receive them in money, with a deduction for a cup not to cost more than 12s 6d. No trial shots except in match No. 1. Size of targets, with the exception of match No. I—2oo and 300 yards, 4ft x 6ft; bull's eye, Bin square ; centre, 2ft square. At 400, 500, and 600 yards—6ft x 6ft; bull'B eye, 2ft square ; centre, 2ft square. Bull's eyas, 4 ; centies, 3; outer, 2. All rifles to be tested before and after the match, and before the squad is dismissed. All entries to be post, and closed at tho fall-in. The rules and by-laws of the National Rifle Association, 1865, to bo adopted when not otherwise provided for. Two pool targets will be provided, 6d per Bhot; if rifles or ammunition be provided, Is. A PREMIUM of £20 for tho best sample, and £10 for the second best samplo of Malting Barley, grown in Canterbury this season, will be given by tho Christchurch Brewers' Association. Tho sample to bo not loss than three bushels. Mußt be sent in to the Town Hall, Christchurch, by twelve o'clock on Saturday, the 13 th of April next. Conditions : — To be entitled to the Ist prize, the grower must satisfy tho Association that he has grown at least 300 bushels of the same quality; and for the 2nd prize, 100 bushels this season. IN PURSUANCE of tho "Christchurch City Council Ordinance, 1862," Sections 25, 26, and tho " Christchurch City Council Ordinance Amendment Ordinance, 1865," Clause 9, notice is hereby given that the List of Ratepayers is completed, and will be open for inspection at the City Council Office from Wednesday, March 27, to Tuesday, April 9th, both days inclusive. Any person objecting to the said list must lodge such objection with mc in the manner prescribed by the Ordinances, within the above-named period, after which no further objections can be entertained. The City Council will consider such objections in accordance with Clause 10 of the "Christchurch City Council Ordinance Amendment Ordinance 1865," and the objections not allowed by them will be heard and determined at the meeting of Justices to be held at the Resident Magistrate's Court, on Friday, April 12, at eleven a m.
