Sugars are firm, and the late advance has been maintained. In other articles of daily consumption we have no change to report. Tobacco—Good saleable samples of tobacco are in request amongst the trade, and some few parcels cut up at improved rates. Good teas have been disposed of during the past week at Is 4d, and what few stocks we have of sound Southern twist holders retain for better prices. Of this article we never saw the market so bare. Cigars—We have but little to notice in this market. Stocks are low. The figure unchanged— from 55s to 60s for Havannah-shapes, and very little demand. Some of the late shipments from ifo" 1 "!* are of a very superior character.
