P. & T. Cricketers Will Play Saturday
A decision to give Saturday cricket a trial was made at the annual meeting of the P. and T. Cricket Club. It was stated that this decision was in order that cricket should progress in the district. The club stood to lose several leading members by the decision, but was willing to give the change a trial.
Officers elected were: —Patron, Mr S. S. Shapley; president, Mr W. D. Rivett; vice-presidents, Messrs C. Armstrong P. Coutts, C. Hudson, J. D. Rivett, W. R. Whiteside and S. Cave; secretary, Mr R. Schou; committee, Messrs W. R. Whiteside, H. Neal, J. B. Rivett, R. Cleland, F. Whitcher, A. Martin and P. Seebeck; delegates to W.C.A., W. R. Whiteside, W. D. Rivett and R. Schou; delegates to Bay of Plenty Association, samd as above; club captain, Mr P. Seebeck; vice-can-tain, Mr H. Neal. The club’s social evening is to be held on October 4.
Last year’s president, Mr Whiteside, was thanked for work put into the club.
