MANY SHIELD GAMES TOMORROW The main Rugby match for Whakatane will be played at Rotorua tomorrow for the Te Hurinui Apanui Shield. In addition to this game Whakatane third grades are to play Rotorua for the Parata Cup.
At' Whakatane there are to be games as usual, the main one being for the Shalfoon Shield, which Whakatane-will defend from Rangitaiki. A curtain raiser will be played between Whakatane Primary Schools and high school lightweights. Representative fixtures are being played by Rangitaiki, who are to play Galatea at Murupara in the Burt Shield series. A friendly game is to be played at Matata between Rangitaiki B and Te Puke B.
