Borough Council Meeting
Apart from the Mayor, Mr B. S. Barry, who was absent, there was a full attendance to the -.monthly meeting of the Whakatane Borough Council on Monday night. The de-puty-mayor, Cr C. S. Armstrong, presided over Councillors H. G. Warren, R. T. Morpeth, E. R. Dillicar, K. Needham, W. Sullivan, A. O’Rourke, R. Buttimore and M. Lennie.
The town clerk, Mr L. D. Lovelock, the electrical engineer, Mr F. W. Lysaght, and the foreman engineer, Mr C. D. Molesworth, were also in attendance.
