Film On History Of Electricity
A film on the history of the great electrical inventor “Colonel Crompton” received a successful screening to a meeting of the Whakatane Branch of the Electricians’ Institute. The film showed how the great modern equipment in use today had commenced from the dynamo of a Swiss inventor, and then reviewed the life of Colonel Crompton who,, in his life time, took out 80 patents.
The apprentice classes being held at Opotiki .were discussed and it was decided to try and have some Whakatane boys attend them.
